Vacation Rental Planning Tips

 

Whether you like to plan every detail months in advance or wing it at the last minute, here are some tips to help you find the perfect lodging option:

Understanding Peak Booking Times

Winter is our busiest season. Inside of the winter season, the busiest times are going to be Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, Martin Luther King Weekend, President's Weekend and Spring Break in March. In the summer, it's really just one longer time period from late June to early August.

Minimum Stay Requirements

When booking early, Bighorn Rentals has a 5 night minimum stay requirement. That requirement is reduced 1 night at a time to 2 nights for last minute bookings. If you find a property you want to reserve but your dates don't meet the requirement, please contact us as we may be able to work around the minimum stay requirement for you. Our website will display the current requirement when dates are entered.

Getting Around Summit County

When viewing our property pages, check the map to see how close it is to the places you want to visit. Some properties are going to be an easy walk to everything. Summit County is a pretty bicycle friendly community which might be enough to get around. The Summit Stage is a free, county-wide bus service that will get you around. We recommend it for getting back and forth between Frisco and Copper Mountain or Frisco and Breckenridge.
